Carmel Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 43-year-old Colorado man is facing misdemeanors after he drove drunk—and carried drugs—through Putnam, police said.

Carmel Officer Neil Brown arrested George Betchley, of Aurora, at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on East Lake Boulevard in Mahopac. Police say he was speeding.

"Further observation indicated erratic operation in that the vehicle traveled over the double yellow line," Chief Mike Johnson said in a statement.
