New York State troopers from the Somers barracks conducted a six-hour speed enforcement initiative on Interstate 684 Friday.
They distributed a total of 41 tickets, most of which were speed-related, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., according to officials.
" This highway safety initiative perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement," authorities said in a statement released Friday afternoon.
