A 50-year-old Holmes resident is facing a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny following a theft at the Shop Rite Supermarket on Route 52.
Carmel Police say the incident happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday. Officer Kevin Murphy responded, and found the suspect in the presence of store security. They told police they stopped the woman while she was attempting to steal about $81 worth of goods.
Following the arrest, authorities released the woman. She's due in Carmel Justice Court Oct 2.
