Head-On Crash on Route 312 Leads to Three DWI Arrests

State troopers recently arrested three Southeast residents—two who were involved in an accident on Route 312, and a third who was picking up one of the drivers from the barracks—on drunken driving charges.

The crash occurred at about 6 p.m. Sunday. A pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old man, whose blood-alcohol level was 0.17-percent, collided with a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old man, whose blood-alcohol level was 0.08.

No one was injured in the crash. Both cars were towed.

The relative who came to the station to pick up the younger man, a 43-year-old woman, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16-percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

Each of the defendants was released pending a future appearance in court.
