Larceny at Southeast Store Leads to Woman's Arrest

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 41-year-old Peekskill woman is facing a misdemeanor charge following a recent incident at the  in Southeast.

Police received the complaint around 1:30 p.m. July 3. Members of the department store's security team reportedly observed the woman passing all registers and attempting to exit the store with merchandise—valued at $26—that she had not purchased.

Authorities charged the defendant with misdemeanor petit larceny, and released her pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court later this week.
