Susan Feinberg, who was reported to be missing on Monday by New Castle Police, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in New York City, according to New Castle Police Det. Sgt. James Wilson.
Feinberg, a 59-year-old Chappaqua resident, was discovered in a room at the Hilton Times Square hotel at around 2:37 p.m., according to the New York Police Department, which is also involved. She was found unconscious, according to police, and declared dead by EMS.
No foul play is suspected, according to NYPD, but the matter is being handled by the city's medical examiner.
Feinberg's family was updated on her discovery, Wilson said. He declined to provide details about her condition earlier this afternoon when her discovery was announced because of the ongoing nature of the investigation and because of communication with the New York Police Department.
The MTA Police also provided support, New Castle Police said in a press release.
Police put out a missing person alert for Feinberg on Tuesday morning. Initially, police said that she was last reported trying to park near the Chappaqua train station for a doctor's appointment in New York City. Then, police issued an update stating that her last-known whereabouts were on Monday around 12:05 p.m. and leaving a train that arrived in New York City.
