NJ Man Charged with Issuing Bad Checks

A 53 year-old New Jersey resident faces misdemeanor charges stemming from his alleged involvement in issuing a number of “bounced” checks to a Putnam County resident.

Willie J. Favors of Paterson, NJ, was arrested following an investigation conducted by Investigator Stephen Tricinelli of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation. 

He is accused of uttering three bad checks totaling $4,270.

Favors was charged with two counts of Issuing a Bad Check, police said. He was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Joseph Spofford, acting on behalf of the Town of Southeast Justice Court. He was released without bail pending a June 10th court appearance.
