PHOTOS: Mourners Turn Out for Memorial, Wake

Police officers from several agencies patrolled the area and directed traffic.

About two dozen folks turned out around 2 p.m. Thursday for the first round of calling hours for the Sullivan family.

Larchmont Police Capt. Thomas Sullivan, 49, and three of his family members  in a blaze that caused their Carmel home to collapse. Sullivan's wife Donna, 48, and the couple's teenage daughters, Meaghan and Mairead, perished in the fire. Son Thomas Jr., 20, was able to escape.

Mourners also , placing floral arrangements outside the building.

The wake is slated for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at Balsamo Cordovano Funeral Home on Church Street in Carmel. A funeral Mass at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday. for details on parking and road closures.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
