A 52-year-old Carmel woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny following a theft at the Marshall's department store in Cortlandt Manor.
"Troopers were dispatched to Marshall’s located at 3131 East Main Street for a report of a shoplifter in custody," officials said of the incident, which occurred at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The store's loss prevention team told police the woman "concealed merchandise and attempted to exit the store where she was taken into custody."
Authorities arrested the woman on the misdemeanor charge. She received a Sept. 16 appearance ticket for Cortlandt Justice Court.
