Officials say that a 3 a.m. traffic stop on Route 6 in Southeast led to the arrest of a Mount Kisco resident Monday.
Deputy Sheriff Thomas Lee arrested Bernardino Santino-Ramirez, 30, after stopping him for traffic violations, according to a report from the .
Santino-Ramirez faces two misdemeanors: driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. The latter—which typically indicates a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent or higher—came after the defendant submitted to a blood test, police say.
The driver, a resident of Anthony Street, was arraigned before Town of Southeast Justice Gregory Folchetti and sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $500 bail. He will be due in court at a later time.
The generally does not release blood-alcohol levels, as they may be considered evidentiary. The legal limit is 0.08.
