A recent reported disturbance at a local establishment led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Eastchester man who had marijuana and hypodermic instruments on him, according to officials said.
Deputy Thomas Lee arrested Adam Serrecchia on a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Wednesday. Authorities also charged him with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Officials say Lee discovered seven instruments and drugs after he responded at about 1:35 a.m. Sept. 28 to a reported disturbance at Heidi's Inn on Route 22.
Following the arrest, police held Serrecchia at the Putnam County Correctional Facility where he awaited arraignment. He'll be due in Southeast Justice Court at a later date.
