Police: Southeast Man Wanted on Assault Charge Surrenders

The Carmel Police Department provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Officials say they released a 36-year-old Southeast man who was wanted on a warrant after he turned himself in earlier this week.

According to a statement from the Carmel Police Department, Ryan Minerd surrendered at station headquarters Monday. 

Authorities wanted Minerd on an active arrest warrant—charging him with misdemeanor assault in the third degree—in connection with an incident that occurred that day at Putnam Hospital Center. Officials did not include specifics in the release.

Following arraignment before Town Justice Joseph Spofford, police released Minerd on his own recognizance. He is due in Carmel Justice Court July 23.
