A motorist who was driving erratically while traveling Route 6 in Mahopac is facing drunken driving charges, officials said.
Officer Richard Rosario arrested Carmel resident Mark Finley, 53, at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to Police Chief Mike Johnson's statement.
"Rosario observed a 1999 Toyota traveling south on Route 6 travel over the double yellow line several times," officials said. The officer made the arrest after he conducted sobriety tests during a traffic stop.
Finley is facing two infractions, as well as the following misdemeanors: driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. The latter typically comes with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or higher. The legal limit is 0.08.
The defendant was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Joseph Spofford, who sent him the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $500 bail. He's due back in court Oct. 29.
