Route 312 Crash Leads to Warrant Arrest

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Officials took a 60-year-old Dutchess man who was reportedly wanted on a warrant into custody following a three-car  in Southeast Friday afternoon.

Police say no one was injured in the crash, which happened at about 2:20 p.m. All three cars—a 1995 Mercury Cougar, 2010 Toyota Camry and 2008 Hyundai Elantra—were reportedly heading south on Route 22. Additional details of the crash were unavailable Monday evening.

New York State Police responded. They interviewed all three drivers: a 63-year-old Southeast resident and a 48-year-old Patterson resident, as well as Richard L. Griffeth, of Pawling. Authorities say he was wanted on a bench warrant, linked to a misdemeanor charge seventh-degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance, from the Southeast Justice Court. Police were unable to provide the date of the warrant.
