Sheriff: Bloody Burglary Suspect on the Loose in Putnam

A suspect was last seen in the area of Church Street and Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley, possibly heading toward Lake Peekskill.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office has issued a community alert regarding their search for a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred on Shawnee Drive in the Town of Putnam Valley around 11 a.m. Friday. 

The suspect being sought is Christopher Rivera, aged 22, according to police. He is described as a white male, 5’ 8” tall, 170 pounds, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue and gray checkered pajama pants.

The suspect was reportedly last seen in the area of Church Street and Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley. At that time, the suspect was seen with a bloody face. He may be headed to the Lake Peekskill area.

Anyone sighting the suspect or having information about the crime should call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 225-4300. Authorities say all calls will be kept confidential.
