Sheriff: Brewster Man with Revoked License Drove Drunk

He was held at the Putnam County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.

A 21-year-old Brewster man is facing misdemeanor and felony charges following a recent arrest in the Village, officials say.

Deputy Thomas Lee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested Victor M. Mazariegos at about 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to a statement released this week.

Lee stopped Mazariegos on Route 6 in Brewster after the defendant committed a traffic violation, police said. The deputy found the defendant to be intoxicated, and later discovered his license had been revoked, the release states.
