Sheriff: CT Man Drove Drunk on Route 22

A 30-year-old Sherman, CT man is accused of getting behind the wheel drunk and driving through Patterson, authorities said.

Deputy Sheriff Edward Kennedy arrested the man, who was allegedly speeding on Route 22, at about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 22, according to a recent press release.

The defendant was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and arraigned in Patterson Justice Court before being released, pending a future court appearance.

Because they may be considered evidentiary, the Sheriff's Office generally does not release blood-alcohol levels.
