Sheriff: Kent Man Charged in Patterson Burglaries

A 34-year-old Kent man is facing felony burglary charges following two incidents in Patterson, according to authorities.

The crimes were reported in November 2013. They occurred in the Fair Street area of Patterson. The victims reported that their homes had been unlawfully entered and that cash and precious metals had been stolen, officials from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said in a statement earlier this month.

Investigator Thomas Corless of the sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Investigation took the case. Detectives from the Town of Kent Police Department joined the probe. It led to the arrest of Kyle Patrick Sullivan of Whangtown Road.

Sullivan was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary. He was arraigned in Patterson Justice Court and sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

Some of the stolen property has been recovered, officials said.
