Troopers Find Drunken Driver Asleep in Car on I-684

A 35-year-old Bedford Hills man was drunk behind the wheel on Interstate 684, in the town of North Salem, according to police.

State troopers from the Somers barracks arrested the man at about 4 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 16) after they observed the vehicle he was operating stopped partially in a lane. He was asleep with the car still in gear, authorities said. 

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.10-percent, according to authorities. The legal limit is 0.08. He is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. 

Police released him pending a future court appearance.
