Southeast Man Drives with Suspended License, Crashes Car

A Southeast man faces a charge of third-degree aggregated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Deputy Sheriff Benjamin Levine responded to a report of a property-damage automobile accident on Federal Hill Road in Southeast at 3:48 a.m. June 2.

Levine discovered that the driver's license had been suspended. The 20-year-old was processed at the scene and released pending a future appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, he could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000, according to the Putnam Sheriff's Office.
