Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a 38-year-old Southeast resident on criminal charges stemming from his alleged involvement in the distribution of cocaine at various locations in the Mahopac section of the Town of Carmel.

On May 10, 2014, Vincent A. Milazzo of 3103 Village Drive was taken into custody by members of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit after they concluded a twelve-month investigation into the sales of cocaine in Putnam County.

Mr. Milazzo was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled
Substance in the Second Degree, one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree – all felony crimes. He was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Joseph Spofford and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility without bail.

If convicted of a single count of the most serious crime, Mr. Milazzo may be
sentenced to a term of incarceration not to exceed ten years in a New York State
correctional facility as determined by a court.
