State police are investigating a robbery that took place at People's United Bank at 1515 Route 22 in Lakeview Plaza Monday afternoon. No one was hurt during the holdup, officials said.
Authorities are searching for the man who committed the crime. He is a white male who was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, a baseball cap and a dark vest. He reportedly did not display a weapon.
The robbery took place at about 3:40 p.m. Troopers and investigators were still at the scene at 6 p.m.
A K-9 helped during the search. Police did not use a helicopter because of cloudy conditions.
Monday's incident comes days after a bank robbery in Putnam Lake.
