NYSP: CT Man with Prior Convictions Drove Drunk in Southeast

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Officials charged a 46-year-old Danbury, Connecticut man with felony driving while intoxicated after a recent traffic stop in Southeast, authorities say.

Troopers from the East Fishkill barracks of the New York State Police arrested Arcesio F. Beltran at about 11 p.m. Friday. He was headed east on Danbury Road when they stopped him for speeding. Police said he had been operating a 2004 Ford Explorer at about 70 mph in a 55-mph zone.

Beltran's blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.11 percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

State Police charged the defendant with the felony after they discovered he has been convicted of drunken driving twice in the past 10 years, officials told Patch. He was released pending a future appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
