Troopers Charge 3 with Drunken, Drugged Driving in Southeast

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate any convictions.

In recent days, officials from the East Fishkill and Southeast barracks arrested:

  • Ridgefield, CT resident David L. Curlett, 26. Troopers stopped Curlett, who was operating a 1998 Honda Civic, at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday. He was driving on Danbury Road in Southeast when police noticed a missing license plate lamp, according to authorities. Officials reportedly noticed the odor of burning marijuana during the traffic stop. Curlett is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was released pending a Dec. 6 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
  • Danbury, CT resident Peter Sinacore, 33. State Police arrested Sinacore at about 10 p.m. Nov. 20. They initially stopped him because the 2002 GMC Envoy he was operating on Interstate 84 in Southeast was missing a license plate lamp and at least one brake light. Authorities say they noticed the odor of burning marijuana during the traffic stop. Cops charged Sinacore with a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. The defendant was released pending a Dec. 6 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
  • Danbury, CT resident Lawrence P. Bosworth, 50. Troopers stopped Bosworth, who was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante on Route 121 in Southeast, at about 11:50 p.m. Nov. 20, after he reportedly committed a traffic violation. His blood-alcohol level was 0.13 percent, according to police. The legal limit is 0.08. Authorities say Bosworth was convicted of drunken driving within the last 10 years. He's facing a felony charge of driving while intoxicated. Officials held the defendant at the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond bail. He is due in Southeast Justice Court Jan. 8.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
