Troopers Charge Southeast Man in Discovery of Stolen Van

He was sent to jail on $15,000 cash bail.

A 25-year-old Southeast man is facing a felony charge after officials found him to be in possession of a stolen vehicle, state police say.

Troopers from the Southeast Barracks arrested Christopher Scully Tuesday.

"...He was observed in possession of a van reported stolen from a business two days prior and reported to State Police at Wappingers," officials said in a statement.

Authorities charged Scully with felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Following arraignment in Patterson Justice Court, Scully was sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $15,000 cash bail.

The defendant is due back April 18.
