Troopers Investigate Burglaries in Southeast

A total of three incidents were reported.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Milltown Road area following two reported burglaries.

The incidents occurred at separate, private residences over the weekend, officials at the told Patch. An alarm sounding at a third residence stopped another intrusion, they said.

In each instance, no one was home when the burglary occurred. Details on the missing items were unavailable Tuesday night, but the intruders allegedly stole jewelry from the homes.

Authorities say the burglaries are not related to the home invasion that occurred in LaGrange Monday night.

Officials would not release additional specifics. They encourage anyone who recently observed potentially suspicious activity in that area to call 845-279-6161 and speak with a member of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
