State troopers charged a 25-year-old New Fairfield, CT man with drunken driving after he violated the move-over law while passing a police vehicle, officials say.
Troopers from the East Fishkill barracks stopped the man at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, on Route 311 in Patterson. He failed to move over while passing a trooper who had another vehicle stopped on the roadway, according to authorities.
The defendant is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. He was released and he received tickets to appear in the Town of Patterson Justice Court Aug. 20.
