Troopers: Speeding Motorcyclist Carried Gun on 684

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police say a New Hampshire man was driving at more than 125 mph just before he was arrested on Interstate 684 in Bedford Friday.

Stephen Miles, 23, of Derry, NH, is facing a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Troopers from the Somers barracks of the New York State Police stopped him on his motorcycle around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

"He was traveling 128 mph in a 65 mph zone," officials said in a statement. "Further investigation revealed Miles was in possession of a Ruger 9MM handgun."

The defendant was released on $10,000 bail following an arraignment in Town of Bedford Justice Court. He's due to appear again Thursday.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
