State troopers from the Southeast barracks apprehended a 27-year-old Connecticut man—who was wanted on a warrant—after they observed him traveling at 101 mph in a 65-mph zone, officials say.
Authorities stopped Jason M. Leachman on Interstate 84 in Kent at about 10 a.m. Saturday.
"A license check reveled Leachman to have a suspended Connecticut driver's license," officials said in a statement. "In addition, Leachman was found to have an outstanding warrant on a probation violation from a weapons and drug arrest in Connecticut. Probation officers advised they would extradite Leachman back to Connecticut."
Following arraignment in Patterson Justice Court, Leachman was sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility pending an extradition hearing.
