Troopers: Woman Attacked Friend, Damaged Vehicle

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police have charged a 22-year-old Southeast woman in connection with a recent assault, according to official reports.

The arrest happened on Sunday morning, after authorities at the  received a complaint for a dispute between two women who were traveling together by car. 

Lisa M. Forschner, of Bridey Lane, is accused of attacking the driver, a 20-year-old Patterson woman, after the two friends became involved in a verbal argument. Police were unable to say what caused the fight.

The victim, who was not transported to the hospital, reportedly sustained injuries to the face and neck. Forschner is facing a misdemeanor count of third-degree assault, as well as a criminal mischief charge. Police say the latter stems from damage to the victim's 2010 Honda Civic.

Officials released Forschner pending a May 8 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
