Erin Meagher Announces Candidacy for Brewster Board of Trustees

Erin Meagher, a community member whose had a big role in organizing recent Founders Day activities in Brewster, is hoping to secure a spot on the village board of trustees come November.

Here's the statement announcing the news, as shared on Brewster10509, a local email group with hundreds of subscribers:

"Erin E. Meagher, a familiar face on Main Street in the Village of Brewster has officially announced her candidacy for Trustee. At yesterday’s [Sept. 17] Conservative Party caucus, Erin E. Meagher was selected as one of two nominees for Trustee. The other was incumbent trustee Teresa Patton Stockburger. Erin E. Meagher works at the Brewster Shipping Center, a Main Street business in the Village of Brewster. Earlier this year she was honored at the Putnam County Chambers of Commerce 40 Under 40 Business Trailblazer Awards for her work in the business community as a young professional. She has been involved in numerous volunteer efforts to improve and promote the Brewster area. Erin E. Meagher is the chairwoman for the Brewster Founders Day Street Fair held last weekend, secretary for the Landmarks Preservation Society of Southeast, an active member of the Brewster Rotary Club, serves on the Southeast Fireworks Committee and the Holiday Tree Lighting. Meagher’s campaign will emphasize Main Street revitalization, enhancing recreational opportunities for all ages in the Village, and running an open, fiscally conservative government while maintaining quality services for Village of Brewster residents."

Stockburger, along with Deputy Mayor Christine Piccini and Mayor Jim Schoenig, are up for reelection this year.
