Highway Department to Wrap Up Debris Collection [POLL]

Last day is Monday.

After nearly three months of picking up branches and brush left in the wake of the , highway workers are completing their rounds.

Kevin Palmer, the department's superintendent, announced in a release Tuesday that the cleanup, which began Oct. 29 of 2011, will come to a close on Monday. 

"If you have brush/debris at the curb now, it will be picked up," the document states. "New brush/debris placed at [the] curb after Jan. 23 will NOT be picked up and will be the homeowner's responsibility."

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
