Primaries for 3 Parties Happening in Putnam

Primary Day 2013 in Putnam County means folks registered with the Conservative, Independence or Republican parties will vote for the candidates they want to see on the ballot come November.

In Southeast (each ballot offers the write-in option):

  • The Republican ballot will ask for one choice for Putnam County Sheriff: Kevin McConville or incumbent Donald B. Smith. The term is four years.
  • The Republican ballot will also ask voters to choose two of three names for Southeast council members: incumbent Robert Cullen, incumbent Elizabeth Hudak or Dennis Sant. The term is four years.
  • The Conservative ballot features one office only: Sheriff. McConville is the only name listed.
  • The Independence ballot gives Smith as the only option for Sheriff. It features four names for a choice of three delegates to the 9th Judicial District Convention: Elizabeth F. DiBartolo, Eric H. DiBartolo, Jonathan Gerstenzang, Bernadette Tyrrell. Sant's name is the only one listed for council member.
