Primary Totals Confirm Wins, Shows Write-In Victory

The Putnam County Board of Elections recently posted the final numbers.

Joe Castellano, Steve Katz, Paul Morini and Justin Wagner all pulled off primary election victories, according to official numbers.

After releasing preliminary results the night of, the Putnam County Board of Elections recently posted final numbers from the Sept. 13 polling. Here's what they show:

  • In the race for the Green Party line for New York State Senator for the 40th District—which covers parts of Dutchess and Westchester counties, as well as the majority of Putnam—Justin Wagner won. Ten of the 13 people who voted, all by way of write-in, voted for him. 
  • When it comes to District 7 of the Putnam County Legislature, Joseph Castellano scored the Republican line with 186 of the 249 votes. Paul Morini's name will appear on the Independence line, as his name received 12 (all write-ins) of the 26 votes. 
  • In the race for the 94th New York State Assembly District, Assemblyman Steve Katz took the Republican and Conservative lines.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
