Readers' Choice: Vote for Your Favorite Nursery School

Nominate your Brewster or Southeast go-to place in the comments; they may be voted a Readers' Choice later this summer if they offer the best of the best in the given category.

If it's near and dear to your heart, Patch wants to know—tell us about the area's best nursery school.

Nominate your favorite place in the comments below. Once you do, Patch will officially add them to the running for best of the best—and later this summer, they may beat out the competition to become the number one Readers' Choice.

Voting runs from July 23 to August 17.

Brewster Co-op Nursery School! My 3 ½ year old son has been attending Brewster Co-op for over a year. We were welcomed with open arms when he was only 2. The Director, Robin Tedeschi and 3 Year Old Instructor, Arlene Saumell have both treated him like he was their own son. I love Brewster Co-op because it allows my son to grow and develop at his own pace while I participate in the process. I am welcome in the classroom anytime, but not needed on a regular basis. Parents simply need to provide snack for the class about once a month and help out with occasional functions/trips. This is ideal for me since I have a younger son who I now get to spend some time alone with while my older guy is in school. In our time at Brewster Co-op I’ve seen a tremendous amount of development in my son. He has learned social skills through group play, listening and direction skills through circle time, he brings home an arts & crafts project every day, and is even working on his writing skills during personal time with the teachers. He looks forward to going to school and wishes it was more than three days a week! We have two more years before kindergarten, and I know we’ll be in good hands at Brewster Co-op!

Nature's Nursery at Green Chimneys. Both my kids attended this pre-school, learned to swim, got to visit the on-site farm and see the animals and ride the ponies on a regular (usually weekly) basis. Wonderful, caring staff. My kids loved it there!

Drew Nursery School in Carmel is an amazing place for young ones. My son learned so much there that it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Thanks to Miss MaryBeth he was the only one in his Kindergarten class that really knew about Martin Luther King Jr. and Christopher Columbus' voyage. At Drew they instilled such a deep love and respect for our nation that I am filled with pride everytime I see my son solemnly say the Pledge or honor the National Anthem or say thank you when he sees a member of our military, all at only 6 years old. Drew is a wonderful place for young minds to begin their educational journey.
