New House Stands at Site of Fatal Carmel Fire

A new home is for sale at 19 Wyndham Lane in Carmel, the scene of the tragic May 1, 2012 fire that claimed four lives.

A four-bedroom colonial that offers two and a half bathrooms, a stone fireplace, a deck and more, the 3,400 square foot house is listed here on Zillow for $575,000. It's still under construction, but the completion date is February 2014.

Larchmont Police Capt. Thomas Sullivan, 48, his wife Donna, 48, and his two teenage daughters, Meaghan and Mairead, died in the fire. It started with the disposal of cigarette ash onto mulch outside the house.

Thomas Sullivan Jr., then 20, was the only survivor.
