Bears to March in Dublin's 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade

Officials approved the trip Tuesday night.

After appearances in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade, visits to Disney World, Citi Field and more, the Marching Band will travel to Ireland for two performances next year.

The band—which consists of about 90 students and is led by Director George Viglucci—is slated to march through the streets of Dublin on March 17, 2013 for the city's St. Patrick's Day Parade. The group will also appear in a parade in Limerick during the four-night trip.

"It's exciting," Viglucci told Patch.
