Come learn about Michael Musnick’s fascinating studies of the North American Wood Turtle in the Great Swamp, which has provided valuable data to help protect this threatened species. Michael has developed a unique system of turtle bridges along the Metro North rail line, which allows the wood turtles to escape when stuck between the tracks.
Michael Musnick has worked with wood turtles for more than 10 years under permit from the federal government and the State of New York. He reports to both governing bodies, as well as to Friends of the Great Swamp, a Bedford Audubon partner.
