Incoming Interim Superintendent Completes Doctorate

Timothy Conway, the soon-to-be interim superintendent of Brewster schools, has earned a doctor of education degree, according to the district

Conway completed the work at Manhattanville College in Purchase.

His thesis is titled Perception of Virtual Learning Policies and Practices that Foster Increased High School Course Completion Rates and Achieve Common Core Goals, and it "reflects cutting-edge original work on a subject that has been a particular interest of his for several years," the district said in a statement.

Conway has served as deputy superintendent and assistant superintendent for business. He will step into his new role when Superintendent Dr. Jane Sandbank retires next month.
