Southeast Residents Approve School Spending, Elect Trustees

Residents went to the polls May 20 to vote for two of the three people running for seats on the Brewster Board of Education. Here are the official results:

709 votes for Daniel Armstrong
934 votes for Scott Dakin
1,005 votes for Alberta Kozma (incumbent)

Also on the ballot were two spending propositions:

  • The trustees' proposed $87.88 million spending plan for 2014-15 was approved by a vote of 1,070 to 497
  • Permission to buy five buses and one van at a cost not to exceed $499,684 was granted by a vote of 1,041 to 512
