Brewster Cheerleaders Compete in Mahopac

Two of the teams took third place, while the other took first.

Three Brewster Bruins cheer teams participated in a competition hosted by the Mahopac Sports Association this weekend.

The event, which was held Sunday at Mahopac High School, featured Brewster cheerleaders on the third and fourth, fifth and sixth, and seventh and eighth-grade teams.

Both younger teams won third place in respective age groups. The older team won first place.

Brewster Bruins Board member Patricia Bohrman said the competition was a wonderful event.

"They did a great job," she told Patch.

AWESOME Day with our girls!! I think I can speak for all of the Cheer Coaches when I say there are no words to describe how proud we are of them! First Place & Most Spirited Team . . . CONGRATULATIONS! Hard Work = BIG REWARDS! This isn't the result of one weeks hard work or one seasons hard work, this is the result of your hard work over the past 5 years!
