We thank Brewster skiing coach Mary Conklin for the below submission and give a hearty congratulations to the boys on a championship effort and to Kayla Mullaney for qualifying for states along with the boys' trio:

The boys team for Brewster High School performed with excellence today (Feb. 15) at Catamount Ski Area for the high school sectionals.

Connor Heanue, a senior led the team off with a great time of 40.70 in the Boys Slalom race today. He was backed up by Matt Fasano, a senior, getting a time of 41.97 and freshman John Young also getting a 41.97 for a combined score of 124.64.

These three racers will represent Section One at the State Meet at Whiteface Mountain on February 26th and 27th. The three Brewster racers have been challenging each other at the League races and as a result each of them have improved as the season progressed.

As every athlete desires, these racers peaked at the perfect time of the season.

Their hard work paid off today with their great achievement. At States the racers will compete in the Slalom and the Giant Slalom.

We are extremely proud of these racers and wish them the very best at the State completion at Whiteface. Also representing Brewster High School is Kayla Mullaney, our great senior racer.

Kayla achieved the State bid with the combined score from the Giant Slalom and the Slalom. Her scores were slalom 44.55 and the G.S. 39.10. Kayla is the 8th racer on the 10 girl roster representing our section at states.

Kayla has gone to states two other years so she is a veteran and will as always make us proud of her performance at the State Competition.
