Fearless

In the Scripture reading today, St. Paul writes to Timothy, a young bishop in the early church, and tells him he "did not receive a spirit of timidity" when ordained, but the "spirit of love" that should make him unafraid because God is with him.  Pope Francis showed what this means when he invited the nonbeliever editor of the Repubblica newspaper to interview him, and wound up making the editor rethink his assumptions about God and the world.
