What's Closed in Brewster for MLK, Jr. Day; Full-Day Kindergarten; Coupon Club

Read on for a look at what's happening in Brewster and Southeast this week.

Monday
Banks, government offices, libraries and schools will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Many businesses operate on regular hours. See our directory for phone numbers if you're looking to call ahead before leaving the house.


Tuesday
The Southeast Savers Couponing Club is a new local club, and it will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. The Brewster Board of Education will gather at 6:30 p.m. for a meeting. On the agenda: an update on full-day kindergarten, an internal audit report and more. 


Wednesday
The Southeast Zoning Board of Appeals meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening has been canceled.


Thursday
Southeast Justice Court starts at 1 p.m. The town board will meet for a work session followed by regular business at 7 p.m. The agenda will be posted here shortly. 


Friday
Today marks the end of the second quarter for Brewster students.


Weather
Monday and Tuesday look cloudy, with highs of about 39 and 20 degrees, respectively, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasts are calling for sunny skies Wednesday, with temperatures in the single-digits and teens. Expect similar conditions the rest of the week, with a few more clouds Thursday.
