Remnant of Tropical Storm Karen Could Soak the Hudson Valley

Wet weather is in store for Tuesday or Wednesday.

The New York metro area could see a soggy Tuesday and Wednesday next week as what's left of Tropical Storm Karen straggles up the East Coast.

Hudson Valley Weather said, "at the moment it doesn't appear that Karen will have to much of an effect on enhancing the cold front but a general .50 to 1" of rain is still likely..."

According to a Weather.com report, once Karen made landfall in the Gulf Coast the moisture could be forced east by the cold front guiding Winter Storm Atlas to the west.

Karen on Saturday was weakening in the Gulf of Mexico before a landfall predicted anywhere between the Louisiana Coast and the Florida panhandle.

Experts said the storm would continue to weaken as it moves northeast.
