3 Halloween Events Happening in Putnam This Weekend

There are tons of ways to keep busy around Brewster and Southeast this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you. Here are the details for three great events (click on the links for more information). Scroll down to the end of this article for information on a few more.

Brewster's Annual Ragamuffin Parade
When: 10 a.m. Saturday
Where: Markel Park at 559 North Main Street in Brewster
Why go? The Brewster High School marching band will lead the way as dozens of youngsters from the park to the Brewster Public Library. There will be plenty of candy and crafts along the way, including a "trunk or treat" zone at the First Baptist Church.

Halloween Fun at Tilly Foster Farm
When: 10 a.m. Saturday
Where: Tilly Foster Farm at 100 Route 312 in Southeast
Why go? There will be tons to do at this event: costume contests, a "guess the candy corn" game, hay rides, mummy wrap game, a parade, pumpkin painting and more. Food will include candy, a hot dog truck, ice cream and popcorn.

Parents' Night Out: Halloween Party
When: 6:30 p.m. Friday
Where: The Patterson Library at 1167 Route 311 in Patterson
Why go? This event is for costume-clad kids in grades kindergarten through fourth. It will give parents some time off as youngsters play games, put together crafts and enjoy sweet treats.
