3 Things to Enjoy This Weekend: Bavarian Food, Haunted Hayride, Festival

There are tons of ways to keep busy around Brewster and Southeast this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you. Here are the details for three great events (click on the links for more information). Scroll down to the end of this article for information on a few more.

Bavarian Fest Dinner
When: 7 p.m. Saturday
Where: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1111 (4 Fairfield Drive in Patterson)
Why go? Enjoy potato pancakes, sauerbraten, "wurst with all the trimmings" and much more, all while supporting local veterans.

Haunting on the Hill
When: Friday and Saturday nights (throughout the month)
Where: Thunder Ridge (at 137 Birch Hill Road in Patterson)
Why go? It's time to get in the Halloween spirit! This attraction features a haunted hayride and a haunted village with multiple areas. Catch a sneak peek here.

Third Annual Nicholas' Festival
When: 11 a.m. Saturday
Where: Tilly Foster Farm (at 100 Route 312 in Southeast)
Why go? This event will be great for the family, as it features birds of prey, hayrides, live music and much more. It's all in honor of Nicholas Tersigni, a little boy who died of Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.
