Breakfast with Brewster Fire Dept. Explorers; Korean Culture in Mahopac

There are tons of ways to keep busy around Brewster and Southeast this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Brewster Fire Department Explorer Post 11 Serves Up Breakfast at Applebees
When? 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 17)
Where? Applebees at 115 Independent Way in Southeast
Why go? Enjoy pancakes whipped up by Brewster Fire Department Explorers, some of the company's youngest volunteers. The $6 fee will go toward program activities and training.

Free Concert: Music Cottage Rock Camp
When? 2:30 p.m. Friday (Aug. 16)
Where? The Studio Around the Corner at 67 Main Street in Brewster
Why go? Show your community spirit by coming out and cheering on the youngsters as they perform classic rock tunes.

The Hidden Treasures of Korean Art
When? 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 17)
Where? The Mahopac Public Library at 668 Route 6 in Mahopac
Why go? If you're interested in becoming more familiar with Korean culture, this event is for you. You'll learn about the country's artistic history, what the people are like and what they value, and you'll get a taste of what their meals are like.
