Putnam County Tourism in cooperation with Putnam County Sheriff's office and other county emergency services bureaus has decided to cancel the 2014 bike events and pasta picnic. Due to the recent weather predictions of rain and spiking air temperatures potentially causing scattered thunderstorms and light hail we have decided to cancel the event for safety reasons. Safety is the most important part of executing an event with 4 courses and covering over 150 miles of Putnam roads. Our safety and support network would be compromised dramatically in the event of bad weather and we could not offer the level of safety to our riders that they would expect in those difficult conditions.
This event is designed to showcase our wonderful county and all its beauty. We are proud to have had the incredible support of our community, our sponsors and all the county agencies. We are thankful to the participants who wanted to join us this year and we are happy to extend full entry in our 2015 event. We will not be offering refunds but will extend your entry into the 2015 event.
