I received my MS in physiology from Moscow State University and then I studied behavioral neuroscience in post-graduate school at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. As a result of this training I earned a PhD in biology in 1999, writing PhD thesis about mechanisms of learning and memory. I worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in neurobiology in Russia and Switzerland before coming to the United States in 2005. I have published several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I joined EF International Academy faculty in Tarrytown, NY in 2008 and since then taught biology and chemistry courses.  I also have tutored SAT science subjects tests. In 2010 I became an adjunct instructor in biology at the Purchase college of the State University of New York. I have also coordinated volunteering opportunities for EFIA since 2010. In this role I organized several community service events where EFIA students had a chance to help local elementary schools, state parks and charity sport competitions.
